Video Success Guide

Protecting Your Investment

Your video is more than a finished project—it's a long-term business asset.

Whether it's a Brand Film, Video Bio, Customer Testimonial, Recruiting Video, or Documentary, your video can continue supporting your marketing for years. Taking a few simple steps now can help ensure it's always available when you need it.

Download Your Files

Priority: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As soon as you receive your completed video, download and save a copy to your computer.

While we maintain project archives for a period of time, your delivered files are ultimately your responsibility to keep safe.

Pro Tip

Don't rely on a download link remaining available forever. Save your files as soon as possible.

Keep More Than One Copy

Priority: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One copy isn't enough.

Store your videos in at least two locations, such as:

  • Your computer

  • An external hard drive

  • A trusted cloud storage service

Having multiple copies helps protect against hardware failure, accidental deletion, or unexpected issues.

Organize Your Files

Create a folder that's easy to find later.

For example:

Marketing Videos

   ├── Brand Film

   ├── Recruiting

   ├── Testimonials

   └── Social Media

Good organization makes it much easier to locate the right file months or even years from now.

Save the Highest-Quality Version

Always keep the original high-resolution file we deliver.

You can create smaller versions later if needed, but you can never improve the quality of a compressed file after the fact.

The master file should be your permanent archive.

Keep Supporting Files Together

Whenever possible, save related items alongside your video, including:

  • Thumbnail images

  • Logo files

  • Captions or subtitles

  • Transcripts

  • Project notes

  • Music licensing documentation (if applicable)

Keeping everything together saves time when you revisit the project in the future.

Think About Future Updates

Businesses evolve.

You may change:

  • Staff

  • Services

  • Branding

  • Contact information

  • Locations

Keeping your original files organized makes future updates or companion videos much easier to plan.

Don't Let Great Videos Sit Unused

Some businesses create a great video, store it away, and forget about it.

Instead, revisit your videos throughout the year.

Ask yourself:

  • Can I share this again?

  • Can I add it to a proposal?

  • Can I feature it on another page of my website?

  • Is there an opportunity to create a follow-up video?

A well-produced video should continue providing value long after it's delivered.
